Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How does Rillsoft Cloud help identify resource bottlenecks early?
Rillsoft Cloud compares available capacity with planned demand across projects, teams and qualifications. This helps you identify overloads, gaps and resource conflicts before they turn into missed deadlines.
Instead of reacting late, you can rebalance capacity, move work or adjust priorities while there is still room to act.
How can I plan multiple projects without overloading my team?
Rillsoft Cloud combines project planning with shared resource and portfolio views, so you can see how parallel projects affect the same people and teams.
This makes it easier to spot overload early, prioritise important work and distribute capacity more realistically across multiple projects.
How does Rillsoft Cloud support workforce planning by availability and qualification?
You can plan people not only by name, but also by availability, workload, location and professional qualification. That means tasks can be assigned to the right employees instead of simply to whoever is free.
This is especially useful when specialist skills, parallel projects or limited capacity have to be considered at the same time.
How can capacity planning and project deadlines be aligned more realistically?
Rillsoft Cloud connects scheduling with real capacity data. You can compare demand with available resources, evaluate different planning scenarios and see whether deadlines are realistic under current staffing conditions.
This helps teams avoid plans that look good on paper but fail once actual workload and constraints are considered.
How is Rillsoft Cloud different from simple task management tools?
Many task tools are strong at lists, boards and basic collaboration, but they do not model capacity, qualifications, workload and project dependencies in much depth.
Rillsoft Cloud is designed for teams that need structured project plans, realistic resource planning, workforce scheduling and control across several parallel projects.
What kinds of companies is Rillsoft Cloud best suited for?
Rillsoft Cloud is especially suited to project-oriented companies that need more than simple task tracking, for example engineering teams, technical service providers, construction-related planners, consulting teams or growing SMEs with shared resources.
It is most valuable when several projects compete for the same people, deadlines and specialist skills.
How does Rillsoft Cloud support project controlling and variance analysis?
Rillsoft Cloud helps compare planned and actual values for schedule, effort and cost. Teams can use baseline plans, progress tracking and variance views to see where projects are drifting away from plan.
This creates earlier visibility and supports better decisions before delays or cost overruns become critical.
Can Rillsoft Cloud manage growing project portfolios?
Yes. Rillsoft Cloud supports portfolio-based planning across multiple projects, including priority handling, shared resource views and analysis of conflicts between projects.
This makes it easier to scale from a few parallel initiatives to a broader project landscape without losing transparency.
How quickly can a team get started?
Teams can get started quickly because Rillsoft Cloud combines structured planning with browser-based access to supporting modules and shared project information.
The exact rollout effort depends on your planning complexity, but the system is designed to move teams from fragmented planning toward one consistent setup.
What support is included?
Support is available via the ticket system, so questions and issues can be documented and tracked in a structured way.
This gives teams a clear support channel during onboarding and daily use.
How is the price for Rillsoft Cloud as project management software calculated?
The cost of Rillsoft Cloud depends on the number of floating licenses, meaning the users who can actively use the planning functions in Rillsoft Project, as well as the number of employees who can be created in the Rillsoft Project resource pool and use additional Rillsoft Cloud modules.
The price of a subscription is always calculated for the full number of employees and for the full year.
This means that if you want to add fewer than 10 employees to the resource pool in the Starter subscription, the Starter subscription price is still calculated for 10 employees.
The current pricing structure is as follows:
- Starter subscription with one floating license and 10 employees
10 employees x 6 EUR x 12 months = 720 EUR plus VAT per year - Standard subscription with two floating licenses and 30 employees
30 employees x 4 EUR x 12 months = 1440 EUR plus VAT per year
