LDAPs in Rillsoft Integration Server

LDAPs support

With Rillsoft Integration Server 9, we are making LDAPs the standard setting, enabling LDAP signing and LDAP channel binding. The prerequisite for this is that your systems that use the LDAP protocol are also prepared for LDAPs. Otherwise, many systems won’t be able to authenticate to your Windows domain.

Your advantages are:

Security: Compared to the insecure LDAP protocol, LDAPs provides encryption of data traffic through the use of SSL/TLS certificates. This ensures secure communication between the client and server, protecting sensitive information from unauthorized access and potential threats.

Privacy: Since LDAP is often used for managing directory services and user identities, it’s crucial to protect users’ privacy. LDAPs allows companies and organizations to safeguard sensitive data and ensure that information doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.

Compliance: With increasing demands for security and data protection, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, it’s essential for businesses to take appropriate security measures. Using LDAPs helps companies comply with regulatory requirements and minimize potential legal and financial risks.

Network Security: LDAPs supports authentication and authorization through digital certificates, ensuring network integrity. Implementing LDAPs reduces the risk of man-in-the-middle attacks and other security threats.

Future-Proofing: The growing threat of cybercrime necessitates the continuous evolution of security standards. LDAPs is a modern solution that meets current requirements for security and data protection. By replacing the insecure LDAP protocol with LDAPs, we protect our systems and data from potential vulnerabilities.
