Install Rillsoft Cloud: desktop app in 6 steps

This guide takes you through installing Rillsoft Project Cloud, the Windows desktop app for Rillsoft Cloud. Installation takes a few minutes. Afterwards you sign in with your cloud account.

Before you start

  • Rillsoft Project Cloud runs on Windows 10 or Windows 11. Details are listed in the System requirements.
  • You need administrator rights for the installation. The software is installed for all users of the computer.
  • To work with it, you need a Rillsoft Cloud account and an internet connection. You can get a free trial account via Registration.
  • No licence activation is needed. The cloud version recognises your account at sign-in.

Step 1 – Start the setup

On the Download page, download rp100en_cloud.exe and run it. If User Account Control is active, confirm the publisher prompt with Yes.

The setup prepares the installer and picks the matching 32-bit or 64-bit version automatically. Confirm the welcome screen with Next.

Step 2 – Accept the licence terms

Read the licence terms. Tick I accept the terms in the License Agreement and click Next. The installation cannot continue without your consent.

Step 3 – Choose the program folder

On the Destination Folder screen, choose where the program files are installed. The default is the folder Rillsoft Project 10.0 under Program Files. Use Change… to pick another folder. Confirm with Next.

Step 4 – Choose the data folder

On the Data directory screen, choose where Rillsoft Project stores local files such as reports and templates. The default is C:\ProgramData\Rillsoft Project. Your projects, the resource pool and all planning data, by contrast, are stored centrally in Rillsoft Cloud. Confirm with Next.

Step 5 – Run the installation

Click Install. Wait until the installation has finished.

Step 6 – Finish the installation

Close the final screen with Finish. If Start Rillsoft Project is ticked, the program starts right away and shows the Rillsoft Cloud sign-in.

What comes next?

On first start you sign in with user name and password and select your tenant: Sign in to Rillsoft Cloud. To roll out Rillsoft Project Cloud to many computers without dialogs, use the silent installation via MSI.
